boo. it’s 7.30pm and i’m still stuck at the airport. waiting for my boss to decide wad he wants to present tml so that i can do up the ppt slides for him.
surfing net at coffee bean now cos he got nth else for me to do in the meantime so he told me to go walk walk around the airport -.-
oh well. can’t complain cos i took the morning off to go for trg.
the last time time i updated was.. when i was still in the states XD hahahah. this blog is gonna be so dead. so lazy to update even in the states when i’m so damm free. now with work and trg and everything, i come online like, twice a week. i haven’t seen one episode of anything online since i came back. hahahha
why isn’t my boss calling me yet?!??

sunny days :))
we seemed to have skipped spring and gone straight from winter to summer.
the weather has been PERFECT for the past few days. sunny, warm, t-shirt-shorts-and-flipflops days. been lying in the sun at the quad (along with like half the student population) in between classes. i think i’m actually getting tanlines. god i love the sun hahahah. i never realised the weather had such an effect on my mood 
oh and the trees are finally growing some leaves. about time man -_-
i finally went skydiving on sunday!! it’s the best thing EVER. if i had the money (like if i hadn’t juz thrown $116 away), i would jump again hahahah. i honestly wasn’t scared at all. i only started freaking out at the point where i was sitting at the edge of the plane with my legs dangling in the air at 11,000 feet off the ground. but it was too late, i juz had enough time to say oh my god and the instructor attached to me jumped XD the free falling and the parachuting down wasn’t all that scary, juz exhilirating. seriously. it was one hell of an experience. and of course, my parents will kill me if they ever found out =/
only 1 more week of classes, then finals week, then i’m out of here. ok i can’t wait to go home, but it is still quite sad that i’ll probably never see this place again. i really should have come in fall, then i would probably spend 3 warm months and only 1 cold month here. instead, i get the opposite -_- juz when the weather turns warm, i gotta go back. sighhh.

one hundred and sixteen bucks
down the bloody drain. all because i forgot to check my bank account balance for a couple of days and overran it. OMG.
on a brighter note, i had a vv fruitful outlet shopping trip today 
actually, if weren’t for the fact that i was worried i dun have enough money for shopping, i wouldn’t have checked my bank for a few more days. ugh. ok nvm. anw i can’t believe how much i spent! bought a guess bag and belt, 2 pairs of nine west heels and a nike sports bra, among other things. poor sheryl was running around taking orders from her family and hardly bought anything for herself. lol.
went to a malaysian restaurant in chicago’s chinatown for dinner. we had prata and prawn mee and some really wierd hokkien mee that doesn’t look/taste like hokkien mee at all. couldn’t find parking in downtown that isn’t horribly expensive, so we skipped downtown and went back.
skydiving tml! hopefully we’ll finally get to go THIS time -_-

in ntu, the semester flashes past in a blink of the eye. lectures, trgs, projects, trgs, presentations, trgs… dun even have time to breathe. before i know it, the sem is over.
here… i’m wasting my time away watching desperate housewives and grey’s anatomy and whatever online. i’m checking the time every 15 min. ughhh i’m not used to so much free time -_- how weird is that
i have a feeling i’ll regret whining abt this when i’m back at ntu tho.
hahh. nvm. chicago and outlet shopping this fri! at least i have something to look fwd to. hahahah
and hopefully, skydiving on sat. yeah. it got postponed. BUT the weather forecast still doesn’t look too promising. bahh
weekdays are a pain in the ass.

look what arrived in the post today!
my green havaianas broke during one of the ski trips 
so i ordered a pair online. not that it’s v much cheaper. hahahah. after i ordered then i realised my roommate has the same pair, only in a diff colour. i didn’t notice earlier cos hers was all faded alr. oh well, at least i can throw away my cheapo slippers from walgreens.
was supposed to go skydiving last weekend, but the stupid weather’s not cooperating. juz had to be cold and rainy during the weekend. apparently it snowed on sat night. like why the heck is it still snowing in APRIL??!? i still remember my dad telling me not to buy an expensive winter jacket cos i’ll juz be using it for 2 mths. now i can tell him i made his money worth by wearing it for FOUR MONTHS. -_-

i’m gg to tokyo!! stopping over for 5 days on the way back to sg. can’t let my parents know i spent 70 bucks changing my flight to include the stopover, so i kept my original flight from narita to sg, juz leaving champaign 5 days earlier. wheeeee- juz hope we won’t die trying to communicate. LOL

i’m a really lazy blogger.
the only reason i’m bloggin now is because i’ve half an hr to kill before my next class. which i finally decided to attend after skipping like, 4 classes. HAHAH
went to canoe on sat with the other exchange students. not kayak. a real actual open-top CANOE. hahahah. it’s totally like dboating, except u gotta change sides ever so often to control direction. it was a warm sunny day too, like 16 deg, and i could survive in just a t-shirt. NOT a gd idea to capsize tho. the water was still too damm cold. but i still got pretty wet in the end from all the splashing =/ THANKS AH.

rewind to weekend before spring break. hahahah
chicago and skiing!
cheesecake factory was gooood. morton’s was even better. best steak EVER. and this is coming from someone who doesn’t even like steak all that much. definitely worth it, even though it’s the most expensive meal i’ve had in the states =/

ok fast forward to niagara again. i thought all there were at niagara was juz the falls. dead wrong. it’s like a mini amusement park. ferris wheel, wax museums, arcades, casinoes, restaurants, butterfly conservatory etc etc etc. the lights on clifton hill can fight las vegas. lol.
took a wine tour on the 2nd day. and i found out i really hate red wine. ughh. white wine is slightly better. icewine totally rocks. hehehh. stopped at this really cute town called niagara on the lake. and it had this candy store with all sorts of candy apples!
ookay on to new york!
first row is wall street and the new york stock exchange. their buildings are so much prettier than sg’s, even their office buildings. hahah. 2nd row is world trade center, or rather, what’s left of it. ppl were sticking their cams thru holes in the fence surrounding the construction site and snapping pics. 3rd row is central park. it’s freaking HUGE. reminds me of csi new york. they always find bodies in central park =/
oh and guess where we stayed. 125th street. harlem. otherwise known as little africa =x bo bian, on a budget. staying in downtown nyc is gonna cost a bomb. the bed and breakfast where we stayed was not bad tho. nice deco and clean and everything. juz that the heating system sucks. damm cold at nite. and u either get scalding hot water or freezing cold water at the sink. no in-betweens. but oh well. it’s not too bad. it’s near the subway. and u can basically get to anywhere on the subway. hahhah. their system is really good, but they dun seem to give a damn abt maintenance. their subway stations are grimy and littered and graffiti-ed to death o.o

back to reality
spring break’s over. BAHHHHHH
i thought spring break was like the halfway point of the sem, but it’s more like 2 thirds. only 6 weeks of classes left! dunno if i should feel happy or sad that the sem is ending. i dun wanna go back to boring old STRESSFUL ntu. but i miss sg weather and food and family and friends. talk abt mixed feelings man.
yeah should probably blog abt my break. but i’m sooooo lazy. and i have 443 pics! oh man.
ok first installment.
party on thurs nite! and we had to catch a 6am train the next morning. zzz
off to niagara falls
we flew to buffalo and took a freaking $75 cab to our hotel on the canadian side.

…..I WISH. it’ll probably cost a fortune to stay those hotels facing the falls. that’s the view from the skylon tower. apparently there are 2 parts to niagara falls, the american and the canadian falls. think u can only see the american falls from the US side. the view from the canadian side is sooooo much better. plus the canadian falls is prettier. heheh.

it’s really a pity that the ferry ride is closed and only open in summer ditto for part of the observation deck. seems like we’re one of the few idiots who visit niagara in winter. lol. but then again, it’s not without its advantages. at least we didn’t have to fight any crowds. and we got a private tour, since we were the ONLY ones who signed up for it. a HUGE coach bus juz to bring the 2 of us around. hahahah

had a nice weekend in chicago sucks to come back to midterms and classes!!! juz ponned ALL my classes today. hahahhah. stuck studying for my 2 midterms tml. zzz
had such a hard time renting a car. wth. i ended up driving a MINIVAN. on the highway. at 130km/h. wahahahh.
